Divide

Separate, split, sever, disconnect, disjoint, these are a few synonyms for Divide. Tear apart would be another. Have you ever torn something apart? Perhaps out of frustration or anger you have ripped something to pieces. Very often when two things are divided, or torn apart the reason is frustration, anger, hate, a lack of trust. When this happens a number of different reactions emerge.

The events of the last few days have served to divide our nation even more. Just like other things that have driven the wedge further and further between our two political factions this current situation has brought forth more hate, more anger and revealed more unhealthy reactions that are serving to make the hope of reconciliation and healing in our nation seem almost impossible. I don’t know how most of you are reacting, but I do see on social media how many are reacting. I have come to the place in the social media road where I don’t even want to turn it on. This is all I am going to write about this terrible point in the history of our country.

My reaction...Sadness.
